The Mother of the Revolution

Abstract While the Kuomintang leadership propagated myth of “overseas Chinese as mother revolution” for their own political ends, was quickly internalized by overseas themselves. The process internalization underwent three stages: from acceptance during late 1920s to self-proclamation “mother and directing criticisms at KMT 1940s, even extending this sense entitlement CCP post-1949 period.
